The Grief webinar Series pt 1“Showing Up Without Fixing” focused on how to support individuals and families experiencing grief without trying to solve, minimize, or rush their pain. It emphasized understanding what helps versus what harms when responding to grief, highlighting that platitudes, comparisons, or attempts to “make it better” can unintentionally invalidate someone’s experience. Instead, the session encouraged using language that validates, honors, and supports—acknowledging loss with empathy and presence rather than advice.
