Supporting Families in Times of Perinatal Grief and Loss

The session will focus on deepening attendees’ understanding of perinatal loss. It will provide an overview of the types of loss, explore factors that influence grief reactions, and examine the concept of compounded loss. Participants will learn core practices and approaches for supporting families, gain insight into experiences of families through their perspective, and review helpful versus unhelpful language. The session will conclude with a review of available resources.
