Located in Tallahassee, The Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida identifies, funds, and evaluates innovative health, education and social services programs for children and families across the State of Florida. Believing that investing in prevention is the wisest use of limited resources, the organization funds programs for at-risk children and their families to promote healthy child development, positive life outcomes, and create safe, drug-free communities. Please offer your support and make a donation to help the Ounce of Prevention Fund continue to help children and families in your community. You can contribute to the general operating fund or designate your gift to any of the following efforts:

Ounce of Prevention Fund Innovative Initiatives:

The Ounce of Prevention Fund is always seeking innovative ways to promote healthy lifestyles for at-risk children and their families. Through research and strategic planning, the organization is able to develop and evaluate prevention
and early intervention programs that utilize resources to their greatest potential.

PCA Florida Prevent Child Abuse Florida (PCA Florida):

PCA Florida’s mission is to prevent the abuse and neglect of Florida’s children. Focusing on prevention and early intervention services, PCA Florida provides services to help parents, caregivers and community members create healthy, safe and nurturing experiences for children. PCA Florida advocates for programs that provide an opportunity for systemic change, societal solutions and policies that prioritize child abuse prevention strategies.

Circle of Parents Circle of Parents Self-Helf Support Groups:

Circle of Parents® is a mutual support and self-help program for parents based on a framework of shared leadership,
mutual respect, shared ownership and inclusiveness. Florida Circle of Parents provides a friendly, supportive environment led by parents and other caregivers.

CMFSI The Commission on Marriage and Family Support Initiatives:

The mission of this commission is to strengthen marriages, support parents and families, and promote child well-being by raising public awareness, developing sound public policy and advocating for promising practices throughout Florida. The commission is actively engaging communities in efforts to increase the number of stable, two-parent homes by equipping youth, couples and parents with skills necessary for the formation and maintenance of healthy relationships.

HFF Healthy Families Florida:

Healthy Families Florida (HFF) is a nationally accredited, community based, voluntary home visitation program that is proven to prevent child abuse and neglect and other
poor childhood outcomes by promoting positive parent-child relationships and child health and development. Families are also linked to a medical provider and other family support services they need during their participation in HFF. HFF is based on a set of research-based critical program elements and standards of the Healthy Families America model. Healthy Families Florida offers services prenatally or at the birth of a baby to families who are voluntarily assessed as needing Healthy Families services using the validated Healthy Families Florida Assessment Tool. Services can last for up to five years depending on the needs of the family. HFF provides services in all of Florida's 67 counties and serves over 13,000 families each year.
